Janet was born and raised in San Diego, California. After high school, she attended San Diego Community College. She obtained her Associates Degree in Business.

In 1995, Janet moved to Weiser, Idaho. Her career with Annex School began in 1997 as an educational assistant. She has often performed many other duties, including librarian and advisor for the student council and yearbook.

Additionally, Janet is very active in the 4-H program as a leader in horse and livestock projects. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, riding 4-wheelers and spending time with her family.
