Annex Charter School participates in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. Our Child Nutrition Program is committed to providing students with nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
Annex Charter School provides students with a complete meal through our Serve-Only meal service. Annex does not use Offer Versus Serve (OVS).
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
Annex Charter School currently participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Through CEP, all enrolled Annex students may receive a reimbursable school breakfast and lunch at no charge to the student. Families do not need to submit an individual free and reduced-price meal application for students
to participate in the school meal program. Our school continues to count and document student meals in accordance with USDA and Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Program requirements.
School Meal Menus
Annex Charter School provides breakfast and lunch menus for families to review. Menus are planned to meet applicable USDA school meal requirements. Menu items may occasionally change because of product availability or other circumstances. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
Meal Accommodations
Annex Charter School works with families to provide appropriate meal accommodations for students who have qualifying disabilities or medical dietary needs.
Parents/guardians who believe their student requires a meal accommodation should contact the school office or Child Nutrition staff. Appropriate documentation may be required so that the school can determine and provide the appropriate meal modification.
Annex will work with families and appropriate school personnel to implement documented meal accommodations in accordance with applicable USDA, Oregon Department of Education, and disability-access requirements. Questions regarding a students' individual meal accommodation should be directed to the school Office Manager or CNP Director.
Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program
Annex Charter School participates in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). The FFVP Serving Schedule is:

The program provides students with opportunities to try a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables during the school day. FFVP service is separate from the regular breakfast and lunch meal service. For more information, please see the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP).
Seamless Summer Option
The Summer Food Service Program, also known as "Summer Meals", is available in hundreds of communities throughout Oregon, offering free meals and snacks to ALL kids 1-18.
Community summer meal programs are open to all kids without paperwork or income verification, regardless of where they live. Summer meal programs may serve a combination of breakfast, lunch, snack, and/or supper.
The program will be available at over 800 locations thoughout Oregon, and in all other states where you might travel this summer. Meal sites are at libraries, public parks and schools, with many programs also offer fun activities so kids can stay active and keep learning.

Local School Wellness Policy
Annex Charter School maintains a Local School Wellness Policy addressing school efforts to support student health and wellness. For further information, please see the ODE Local School Wellness Policy. ODE requires LEAs participating in federal Child Nutrition Programs to establish a Local School Wellness Policy and conduct an assessment of the policy at least every three years.
